This 1998 Nissan Skyline GTT Coupe 5-speed manual is a rare and highly cherished example, with provenance few can match. Imported from Japan in 2004 by its sole UK owner, who purchased it from Euroline with 49,993 miles, it was originally a one-owner car in Japan. Maintained with exceptional care for over two decades, it has spent the last 15 years in a temperature and humidity-controlled garage and has only been entrusted to Skyline specialists Abbey Motorsport and 365 Performance. It has never missed an MOT, with a perfect advisory-free record since 2016, and comes with a complete service portfolio totalling almost £100,000, over £45,000 of which has been spent in the last 1,000 miles. The owner estimates total spend between £120,000–£130,000, reflecting a “money no object” approach to upkeep and enhancement.
The condition is exemplary, with flawless gold metallic black paintwork following a recent professional detail. In January 2025, at 89,516 miles, a HKS cambelt and water pump were fitted along with a rear main seal, major service and coolant flush. In November 2022, a full underside and chassis restoration was completed with a Nismo Coppermix clutch, Meister coilovers with air-cup lift, Ceika big brake kit, all brake lines replaced, renewed or reconditioned suspension throughout, and a heater matrix replacement – an enormous 322 hours of labour at 89,055 miles. April 2023 saw all wheel bearings replaced with genuine Nissan parts. Earlier servicing is fully documented, including major works in Oct 2008 (70,174 miles), Dec 2010 with cambelt, gearbox and diff services (79,103 miles), Mar 2012 (82,978 miles), Mar 2013 (83,874 miles) and Jul 2019 with Hunter alignment at Abbey Motorsport (87,893 miles).
Specification is extensive, retaining matching original chassis and engine numbers. Highlights include a Garrett GTX3076 Gen 2 turbocharger, Link G4+ ECU with safety features, Plazmaman front-facing intake plenum, billet throttle body, full Ceika big brake kit, Driftworks suspension upgrades, Tein tie rods, carbon fibre GTR vented front wings, bonnet and 50mm rear fenders, Top Secret carbon GT spoiler, AS-style front lip, full GTR front-end conversion, Blitz Nur Spec R exhaust, Bride Stradia II low-cushion seats, Momo 80 Evo steering wheel, Defi gauges and Focal speakers. The Meister coilovers’ air-cup system allows the nose to be lifted for low-entry access.
Supplied with the original 2004 purchase invoice, an organised file of invoices and receipts, and over 300 photographs documenting its 20-year journey, this is not a car built for sale. The long-term owner is only parting to fund an aircraft purchase, with recent years’ usage minimal. A more in-depth printed dossier is available on request, detailing the complete mechanical and cosmetic evolution with supporting documentation.
